The Huon Challenge

Situated 30 minutes south-west of Hobart, the beautiful Huon Valley is easily accessible by road, yet retains the beauty, charm and heritage of a bygone era. The natural beauty of the area is evident with pristine rivers meandering through valleys bordered by National Parks.

Our Huon Challenge program is a day full of excitement and adrenalin, interspersed with time spent among the natural beauty of the rainforests in the South West World Heritage Area. Activities can include jet boat rides, whitewater rafting, kayaking, abseiling, mountain biking and more.

The day begins with the exhilaration of a shallow white water jet boat ride on the Huon River. From the thrills of 360 degree turns, to the peace and quiet of drifting alongside Huon Pine trees and overhanging vegetation, this is an ideal way for a group to see and learn about this idyllic part of Tasmania.

Whitewater Rafting

The essence of a corporate whitewater rafting adventure is to create a day where the group can experience things together. The rafts themselves encourage people to get to know their companions, with the beautiful scenery of a wild rainforest or the magnificent Derwent Valley as the backdrop. Sections of fast-flowing rapids will get hearts pumping, while lazier sections encourage water fights and other horseplay.

Depending upon the time of year, we can raft on the Picton or Derwent Rivers, or the Mersey River in the state's North.

Spy School

Our Spy School program is a unique spy-themed afternoon or full day of games, challenges and subterfuge. Teams compete against each other in a series of missions involving codes, disguises, gadgets and vehicles.

The events all require different skills to complete, thereby ensuring all participants can take part. This is a great team-building event, as all members of the team will need to communicate well and work together in order to complete the missions.

Fear Factor

Fear has dominated our life in the 21st century. Fear stops us from achieving our best moments in life. It makes us fall short of what we are capable of doing. 

Our Fear Factor program is designed to overcome personal fears by allowing participants to recognise and have an awareness of their own fear signals. When we feel fear, we feel we do not have a choice in how to respond to it, we feel helpless and become victims of circumstance. By recognising and learning our own fear signals, we are free to make the choices we want to make.

The Fear Factor program can include any or all of the following:

Top Gear

Our Top Gear program is an exciting and competitive team-based range of activities based on the popular BBC television series of the same name. Participants will spend a grand day sightseeing rural Tasmania while competing with each other in a series of automotive challenges, all the while racing against time.

Teams may be required to successfully reverse a vehicle and trailer through a series of obstacles, compete to reach a destination using the least fuel, reach a location using only GPS devices, change a tyre along the way, or maybe create a video presentation about your vehicle.

There are no speed-based challenges in this program, and participants are encouraged to have a good look around some of the charming parts of Tasmania away from the highways.

The Top Gear program can include any or all of the following: Trailer reversing, tyre changing, navigation challenge, blindfold navigation challenge, fuel economy challenge, video presentation, go-karts, Daytona video-racing, remote control cars, and more.

Thrill-seekers may like to include quad-bike, motorcycle or jet-boat challenges as well.

The Amazing Race

The Amazing Race is a multi-activity team-based competition based on the popular BBC television series of the same name. Teams compete with each other in a series of mental and physical challenges, all the while racing against time. This is a great way to spend a day exploring an unfamiliar city, and anyone can participate as no special skill, athletic ability or experience is required.

The actual content of the Amazing Race is tailored to suit each groups age and gender mix, as well as fitting in with any desired corporate outcomes. Previous Amazing Races have included jet boat rides, go-karting, sky diving, Laser Skirmish, indoor or outdoor rock climbing, kayaking, rafting, abseiling, geocaching, helicopter simulators, clothing swaps, an Aussie 'Haka' competition, lawn bowls, golf and mini-golf, two-handed sawing, fire juggling, and just about anything else you can think of.

Abseiling

An abseiling experience makes for a unique and memorable incentive program for the more adventurous corporate group.

Abseiling (German: abseilen, "to rope down"), rappelling in American and British English, is the controlled descent down a rope in rock climbing, mountaineering, caving, and canyoneering; the technique is used when a cliff or slope is too steep and/or dangerous to descend without protection. Abseiling is used chiefly in British English, while other Anglophone countries use different terms.

We have several suitable abseil locations in Tasmania, including the world's highest commercial abseil at the Gordon Dam near Strathgordon.

Kayaking

Kayaking is a fun-filled, non-threatening water pastime which allows participants to see Tasmania's attractions and natural wonders from the unique perspective of a kayak. Whether paddling off the East coast of Tasmania, amongst the Huon Pines, Celery Top Pines and Leatherwoods on the Picton River or exploring Lake Peddar in the highlands, the inclusion of kayaking into any incentive program gives individuals a chance to unwind, relax and get away from the rat race.

This need not take an entire day - depending upon location, we can incorporate a half-day of paddling into almost any incentive program.

Ski New Zealand

During the winter months the 24 ski areas and 12 heli-ski operators in New Zealand offer some of the best alpine experiences anywhere on the planet.

The ski and snowboard season lasts from early June through to early October; however Mt Hutt in Canterbury often opens in mid- to late May.

New Zealand provides a wide variety of skiing and snowboarding areas varying from the Resort experience offered by Queenstown through to the "Backpacker" experience offered by the Club-owned and operated ski areas in the Canterbury region.

Ski Mt Hotham

Mt Hotham is considered a serious skiers mountain, not just for the slopes but also due to the precarious nature of the roads leading into Hotham. Fortunately these roads have been greatly improved from both directions and sealed all the way to the village from Dinner Plain. Furthermore the addition of three new chairs has close to doubled the mountain's terrain and opened up some challenging intermediate areas.

Yet Mt Hotham still has the most variety of advanced and expert runs of any resort in Australia, close to 40% of its total skiable area and numerous double black diamond areas.
