"I thought Aardvark were absolutely fabulous, I cannot praise the Aardvark team more for what they laid on for us. I also had the pleasure of the guys on the Extreme Adventure South at Dover and some of my comments will apply to that as well. I thought the guys & girls were really good with the kids, they kept them focused on safety whilst not detracting from the activity or the fun. Safety is a priority but the manner in which it was addressed was such that it was a non-negotiable without getting ratty at the kids so I think they really gained the kids respect. At all times the interactions they had with everyone, adults and kids and whether during activities or later in the evenings were enjoyable and fun. "I am absolutely scared senseless (to put it politely!) about entering water that exceeds my knees! I’m pushing 45 years of age and I’ve had a fear of water for as long as I can remember. So, when I was asked to participate in a “fun” rafting trip as part of a team building exercise, I absolutely freaked! Enter Phil Harris – together with our Training Manager, they convinced me (after 2 lengthy discussions) to take part, in what Phil described, as a real buzz! Yeh right, I kept thinking! He guaranteed me that I would be as safe as houses and would even come out smiling! After a few sleepless nights I embarked on the challenge. I was so proud of myself for giving rafting a go, but more importantly I have Phil to thank for helping me overcome my fear of the water and for being such a great team leader and mentor.
